KLMR Attorney Publishes Whistleblower Article in Utah Bar Journal

Kevin Timken, attorney at Kruse Landa Maycock and Ricks, published an article, “Blow the Whistle: The Dodd-Frank Act Creates New Incentives for Whistleblowers – and Compliance Issues for Utah Businesses,” in the March/April issue of the Utah Bar Journal.

As the title indicates, the article focuses on new Dodd-Frank provisions that will pay a bounty to financial insiders and others who voluntarily provide information about violations of federal securities laws.  The article also offers ideas on how attorneys might help corporate clients fine-tune their compliance programs, including the adoption of a mechanism that allows employees to report possible violations internally before approaching the SEC.
